... on them, it was beautiful. We walked back to the metro where I headed to the Nanjing South Rail Station and Jay headed home. I lucked out, arriving at 6:30 and catching a 7:05 train then landing a middle seat until halfway home when the guy in the middle seat got off and no one replaced him. I even had time when I got home to stop at Carrefour! It was a fun whirlwind trip, I hope to go back for a day and visit the Nanjing Massacre ...

... stringed instruments whose names are not in my vocabulary. They were very well organised with interpreters, tutors and resources and gifts.

Our guide/ interpreter filled in the remainder of our days with a visit to a treasure ship replica in a park. The original ship was used by Zheng He for seven voyages to Muslim countries including Africa. The park was good too. But better was our stroll through a small market and watching all the locals ...

We also managed to sneak a pic of a brand new massive bridge and motorway complex....I know we are repeating ourselves but we do feel privileged to see with our own eyes what will certainly be an economic development miracle in the decades to come....a kind of post war America or post-industrial revolution Britain. I'm hope my pontifications aren't making you too nauseous by now :) (or if they are tough!!) We really liked our 5 hour train journey ...
