... historic sites, but it was the weekend of the mid-autumn festival and I feared that if I managed to get a bus seat down there I would never be able to fight my way back through the crowds. So I spent the two days instead walking along Dalian's famous coastal "boardwalk," which prides itself in being the longest boardwalk in the world, stretching for about 21 km along the coast south of the ...

... hot and a little smelly, steam pouring out of every grate on the road. I made my way to my hotel with no problems, not one wrong turn! Yayy! I arrived to find a great room with every disposable thing you could imagine- sewing kit, toothbrush and paste, comb and a whole host of lotions etc. As I mentioned quite late upon arrival, so had a nice bath and retired for the ...

Dad's 87th birthday and Graduation Ceremony at Dalian No 14 High School with Gary Timm's Wilfred Owen playet, Gavin's choir singing war songs, and then Gary's Cinderella in Boots which was hysterical. A great afternoon with really professional presentations from the school leavers.
