Dodging spit and snot
... was a wonderful reprieve from the city, and reminded us a bit of Stanley Park. Minus the giant "Mao's Head" (see photo). It really is giant.
Being able to continue spending more time with team members we knew from our Hengyang trip was super awesome too. My new BFF, Paige, even made a last minute decision to join us in Changsha on the weekend just to spend more time with us and see a different city.

The other room is my bedroom that has a good size closet and another attached bathroom with a shower and a WESTERN TOILET (halleluiah!). Vandaag worden we opgehaald door onze school. Mijn kamergenoot, een Amerikaan genaamd Jan, is al vertrokken. Met degene die later vertrekken, zal ik eerst nog lunchen, waarna ook wij op weg gaan. Huaihua is meer dan 5 uur met de bus/auto. Max, een Russische jongen die vanaf zijn 9e in Engeland woont, is ook in mijn school geplaatst. De derde leraar van onze school schijnt al in Huaihua te zijn. Ondanks de warmte en alles wat me te wachten staat, voel ik me redelijk bestand. ...
