Well, my time here in Xiamen is almost up. I have three more days left and they will go by fast. So I'll bundle up and try to stay warm through them all. The temperature isn't that cold but when it is the same temperature inside as outside, you begin to feel it.

On Saturday, Harry and his girlfriend, Yuyu, showed Lorren, Noelle (Lorren's sister), and me the tulous. A tulou ("to-low") is a house made out of earth, it is typically four stories high, and it is only made in Fujian province. Most tulous are circular. When the United States first saw satellite images of this area, they were very concerned with the circular structures everywhere. They thought the tulous were nuclear reactors.
