... Venice Beach was great as was going to Santa Monica and what I thought was the start of Route 66. The Santa Monica pier is the end of the route, not the start! As was visiting Hollywood and the walk of stars. It's funny because they are just names on a sidewalk, and not the hand prints in cement like I'd always imagined. No just stars and lots of names. 2500 of them. We stop like good tourists and take photos with names we recognise. A lot of dead people. It's ...
Chilled around pool in morning, did 50 lengths again. Sarah Knoppe picked me up at 3.30 and took me to Mattel, wasn't allowed in design centre as needed vp approval or showroom as preparing for toy fair but went in the tower, met a few people and put names to faces. Eve ...

I've also booked the hop on hop off bus to get me from the Westin airport hotel to Santa Monica. I'm thrilled to learn the bus stop is just across the road.
My automatic head check to look right then left nearly gets me ...
In LA our first stop was of course Grauman's Chinese Theatre. As we walked down the strip there was a parade going on which was reminiscent of Notting Hill Carnival with many different nationalities from the Caribbean celebrating. As we made our way towards the theatre we walked past many Spidermen, Michael Jackson, Bumble bee from transformers, Charlie Chapman, Johnny Depp etc. etc.
We also found a fantastic sweet shop nearby, which seemed to go on ...
