Our flight to LA was pretty uneventful; it was just over three hours long. It was easy enough to get our shuttle to Anaheim. I felt grateful I wasn't driving, fast traffic, lots of it and a crazy criss-cross of roads and freeways. An hour later we were at our hotel.

... to which a bloke sat on the outside veranda found this most amusing. We somehow managed to get to the left side of town by Del Ray Marina. So we cycled up around the marina, enjoying our first sight of water in weeks. It was a bit like a maze, but we finally found the beach at the top end by the breakwaters.
