Today we rode off into the rolling hills of Missouri and encountered our first road grade greater than 10%. We expect to see a lot more of this in the coming days. Once again the weather gods smiled on us, the wind was minimal, there was no rain and a bit of cloud cover did not spoil our day. We enjoyed the rural ride through small, well kept farms and had a dinner repast at a local truck stop adjoining our hotel....ah the luxuries of the itinerant ...

Supper was a Chicken Curry wrap with a side salad. Nothing to write home about but I devoured the salad. My body must be telling me something.
Leaving tomorrow but have not decided where (too many choices)

The morning started with a wonderful surprise, I opened my back window curtains and looked down...there was a bird bath filled with birds! By the time I got my camera there was only one bird left :-(
Today I started ...
... ride around town. The houses are great! Ranging from small palaces to the witches house on the left. I hope you enjoy them
Finally I had my first great supper at Porkies Barbecue (photo attached) where I had a very smoky 1/4 ribs and chicken. I was stuffed and happy when I had finished. :-)
Tomorrow a six hour tour of the Ozarks.
... away (good thing; it started raining right after we took pictures); great views, could even see Christ of the Ozarks; pretty gardens. Lobby has very impressive Pipe Organ (supposed to be on the Titanic but wasn't finished in time) and Seeburg Style H Solo Orchestrion (most ornate keyboard orchestrion ever produced in America).
