... one step further and directed us off the main roads and into the very regional roads through the Vermont countryside. This was ok up until the point where we hit the unpaved section. We hoped we weren't making a mistake.

We persevered and saw some remote homes and villages. This area gets heavy snow for 3-4 months of the year and as we were pondering the whole issue of getting around in such conditions we passed a typical ...

Washington, but instead drove south through White Mountains State Park, stopping at quaint covered bridges, apple cider mills, and other shopping opportunities along the way. New Hampshire has lived up to its reputation of its amazing fall color show! "Wow" moments around most corners. Columbus Day-long weekend brought thousands of additional "peepers" Besides the non-stop color blitz, a 4-hour/38-mile ride on the Hobo Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad made going from Meredith to Plymouth such fun. The Presidential car named "Determination" ...

The Diner, Miss Lyndonville's Diner, would pass its Health and Safety check and will be graced by our presence this evening for a haddock and chips (home fries) supper - "eat all you can!" We'll see about that.

... Road. I had considered doing it but I was worried about mom’s Blazer making it to the top since the transmission is bad. But the sun was just so lovely and striking against the trees and I thought how lovely of a drive it could be. So we paid the $36 and lined up for the drive ($28 for the car and driver and $8 for an extra passenger). It was steep and there were no guard rails. I personally have done several other drives like this, ...
