    ... a picture of our arrival but couldn’t find a “Welcome to the USA” sign. We settled for the Vermont Welcome Center.
    We found our campground – Moose River Campground without a problem. So now we are back to enjoying the benefits of US campgrounds – 30 cable channels, wireless, and 50 amp service. Wuhoo!!

Also realizing the engine that pushed us to the top was only slightly hooked to is and if it took off we had a brake man on the car that was manually operating a brake wheel to help the engine alow us down and if we separated from engine he was confident he could stop the car. ...

    Whoever wrote the sign at the entry to Franconia was a master of understatement. The sign warns 'a trip through the flume involves uphill walking and stairs. If I weren't so out-of-breath, hopefully from my cold, I might have counted the stairs. Just kidding. But my iPhone says I only climbed three flights of stairs, but I climbed 7 the day we visited Portland’s signal tower. I think my iPhone is broken.
