... breath and had just had surgery, so Steve lifted the suitcases in and out of the car. He seemed very old but was probably about our age. He said he would be working until 4:00am. We were unsure he was going to live the 6 miles to drive to the hotel. He did, we did, and all became right with the world! ...

Today we experienced Niagara Falls. We went on Maid of the Mist, which is a boat that goes into the falls. We all got blue ponchos (which Sophie loved) to keep us dry while we went through the mist. ... America & the area hasn't been over commercialized like on the Canadian side, our side of this Natural Wonder is like a park & very accessible. You can park all day for only $5 and see everything for FREE!! There wasn't even a State Park fee!! We walked over 6 miles on great trails & at the end we had a nice dinner at the Top of the Falls restaurant with a view of the falls!! We were both so very happy we had visited Niagara Falls!!

Unlucky for them. Anyway the taxi guy finally got back in the cab and ranted on about why they called him in. When we pulled up at the hotel it was like something out of a film...and not in a good way. It's the kind of place for affairs, drugs or murders, but we laughed it off ...

... some of the journey with lots of snow but we got there safely and checked into our hotel. Our hotel was about 2-3 kms away from the falls and you could see a huge ploom of mist in the air and can hear the water crashing into the gorge way before you can see anything. The falls were absolutely incredible; especially to see it in the winter where a lot of the river was frozen and there was lots of snow and ice around. Huge chunks of ice were ...
