Today, we passed 3,300 km on the road. From now on, the end is closer than the start.. I've atached a photo of the point where we passed half distance. The exact point was a bit underwhelming.... flat prairie in every direction and an arrow-straight road. However, we did drink a toast to the milestone when we got to the motel. This time, with ...

Next am it was off to Dodge ...

... over which I have ridden. We landed in Sheridan Lake and am able to write this in an A/C building with free lemonade, kitchen and coffee. Very gracious, informative and no attempts so far to initiate spiritual conversations. Our worst accommodations so far have been two KOAs. We decided their letters stand for "Know Other Alternatives". Tomorrow has a forecast for tailwind, a great way to enter ...

Everyone was up early to catch a warm breakfast 10 miles down the road to Lamar. We passed through Swink a former sugarbeet processing town, now very quiet. Then through La Junta and Las Animas towns formerly on the Santa Fe Trail. We paused in Hasty for lunch with the locals and pedaled into Lamar with plenty of time left in the day. I cruised around town to absorb some of the local ...
