          Today's ride was HOT. The temp was already in the mid-80s as I was headed north out of Broken Bow, OK at 7:45 a.m., and it wasn't long before it was reading 100 degrees. The NOAA app on my phone was giving me "excessive heat" warnings for every town I rode through all day - glad I had some Gatorade in my Yeti, which does a pretty decent job of …

          ... up front at these stops). We got in just after sundown and went straight to a Casino at the tri-state border (Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma). They had "motorcycle parking only" very close to the entrance (this made Jim very happy). Had a great dinner buffet and found a hotel. Checked in after 10 pm. A long ~750 mile day but a good day overall.

          ... to my thighs and wading in the little brook where the run-off falls are. brrr, was it ever chilly. It was crystal clear, and blue... gorgeous! The photos will show buoys attached to underwater frames and we assume that's to guide the scuba divers. I didn't see any marine life in the water, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist in the deep water. The hole itself is 60' wide.... ...

          ... 84 hand-painted Biblical murals and 30 Bible stories in stained glass. The elevation where we're staying is 1,433 feet, and high temperatures have been in the low-90's, lows in the mid-70's, and sunny. It's still VERY HOT and we're starting to whine about it -- hopefully, as we travel east it'll cool down a bit.
