... Not sure if you know this but Casino's aren't everywhere like in Britain they are very scarce due to gambling laws in different states. We stayed the saturday night, in a lovely room and did a lot a gambling! We enjoyed an all you can buffett which was truly tasty! We played some poker and ended up retiring about 3 o clock in the morning (me with empty pockets as usual). The place was amazing and even had a pond area with crocodiles in (see photo's).

Hey loyal blog readers,
This is an entry which doesn't need much writing you'll be glad to know. It's mainly about the pictures! It was a lovely day in Louisiana so we decided to take the kids to the zoo ( we really wanted to go, but taking the kids was our cover ).
All in all it was a great day out! It was hot and the kids (myself and Gary) loved it! Enjoy the pictures. Another entry will follow this one :)
Adam (misses you all lot's) x
... will be around for a long time and a lot of property is for sale but there are a those who are rebuilding. One in particular is Waffle House. I must have counted 5 of them within a 10 mile span. Plus, Walmart is building a super center right across from the beach, now you can get your inflatables and beer all in one place.
Finally made it to the KOA campgrounds in Denham Springs, LA ...
... twenty minutes into decorating his truck we here a noise and it's Chip at the end of his drive wrapping my car in industrial size cling film so we start to run at that point Aled jumps out the back door and say's "hello" with a paintball gun in his hand. So he's chasing us firing as many paintballs as he can and chip is wrapping my car up! Hilarious is the only word for it, we all had a peace offering talk and unwrapped ...
Denham Springs, Louisiana, United States adamc26Ok so here I am again at Denham Springs my American home,
Me Aled and Gail left The Hilton at 10:00am for our long drive ahead. I was in the driving seat first and it was not the best time to do it because the directions my boss had given us started from "Dallas" not our Hotel address. So the first 30 minutes were spent being lost and stopping at gas (petrol) stations asking for help. Once we managed to get on the right road it was plain sailing because to ...
... 7 hour drive to Austin Texas. It was a monster drive but we got there in time for our 4pm meeting. I had driven 249 miles on the same motorway which was a ball ache lol! We were told that the evening was ours to do what we liked with so I chilled by the pool till 7pm with some beers and then planned my attack on 6th Street (look it up on google, mental place).
July 4th night in Austin Texas is next on the blog!
I left this morning via Greyhound bus and have arrived in Baton Rouge. It gives me a good chance to do some urgent washing which I have just finished now. It's very hot again today and with nothing major around town and some fast food within walking distance, I will just stay around here.
On the bus here I saw my first billboard! Maybe only Dad ...
... Brunet's...the food was spicy, but the service...well, when I asked our waiter what his favorite thing to eat was he replied, "The fettucini." I'm pretty sure that when a group as touristy looking as we were sits down in a restaurant supposedly well-known for its Cajun fare we do not want our waiter to suggest Italian!
The food was good...very spicy and the blackened shrimp was excellent!
Saturday got up about 9am and said goodbye to The Krausers and had a few photo's taken, Then myself and Gail went to my bosses office to collect balls, t-shirts and pack for the next camp. By the time he'd given us everything we need it was 10:30am.
We set off on a 8 hour jorney and boy was it hot. I drove first for about 3 hours and then we stopped at an Applebee's for some food. Once our belly's were full Gail got in the drivers seat and we were on our ...
... before us and arranged for us to have rooms next to each other. This was one of the best hotels I have stayed at! It is brand new, the staff is outstanding and I would definately stay there again.
We walked to dinner at the Bob Evans next door, had a very restful night's sleep, ate a good breakfast at the hotel's free spread, then it was off to Disney!
