Baymont Inn & Suites in Wahpeton, ND

by (3 reviews) Alexandria , United States Flag of United States

We had a long travel day from Custer SD to Baymont Inn & Suites in Wahpeton ND and came to a very nice large room. It was clean and had all the amenities. TV, WiFi. Refrigerator. Microwave.

They also have free continental breakfast. Waffles, bagels, toast, hard boiled eggs, cereal, muffins, packages of oatmeal, and fruits. Coffee and orange juice as well.

The room was cleaned everyday and replenished with the necessities - towels (although we chose to reuse ours), soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc.

The Baymont Inn & Suites is a place to stay in Wahpeton.

We ran into Harlan at breakfast. We asked about the person in prison who was his nephew. After breakfast, we walked around downtown Wahpeton. We walked into the Red Door Gallery. Interesting exhibition. It was a rural America theme.

We went to Hankinson for their Oktoberfest. It's small town America. Everyone seems to know everyone. There …

Another long travel day. We left Custer SD around 7:30 AM and headed to Wall Drug for breakfast. We got to Wall Drug around 9 AM. Much quicker than anticipated. We walked around a little after breakfast and then headed to Pierre to see the State Capitol. We drove through the Badlands and saw amazing hills, mountains, and flatlands. We got pictures …

    One night only in Minnesota

This entry is only to keep my map current. We came across the eastern part of North Dakota, past Fargo and into Minnesota where we stayed at a great city park for the night. All grass and, with ************e there, peaceful.

I went for a run in the morning and then we headed across Minnesota towards Duluth...past ALL those lakes in Minnesota! So many of them.

... lake as the fort was surrounded on 3 sides by water.

    Day 28. Monday 22 June 2015
We visited the museum and toured the fort. It even had a library. Linton was impressed by the size of the bunks for the soldiers but alas they had slept 2 to a bed. We had had very heavy rain last night and today was very windy. It was uncomfortable to drive in these conditions. We drove past scores of glacial lakes - some small and some large. Very pretty. We left ...
