... first time in almost 4 straight weeks I didn't have internet connectivity. As is often the case, the nicer the mo'tel, the crummier the connectivity. I usually run a speed test on the connection to see what my experience is going to be like, and in some little Ma & Pa mo'tels, like the one in Scott's Bluff oh so long ago, I got 12 MB/s down and 5 MB/s up, true high speed. Tonight's signal strength was so weak I couldn't even get to the login ...

We traveled from Chappell, Nebraska today to Salina, Kansas. I have tried to think of something interesting or humorous to say about the drive, but the only words that come to mind are: rain, wheat, corn, sorghum, rain, monotony, clouds, rain, and boredom.

We decided that we wanted to take a little hike today before leaving the Rockies and heading back east. We got up and had breakfast and then began to pack up. Camping has been fun, but I am glad that we are done with it.
