    Waiting for Kym

December 26th, I woke up at 6am and looked outside my window, no snow yet but by 10am you could see a thin blanket of snow on the ground, a few hours later the street was completely white and looked magical. I went outside and spun around in the snow tasting snow flakes on my tongue and as no one wanted to drive I decided to walk to the local supermarket in the snow for something to do. We were experiencing a blizzard and the cold wind and the snow made it extra chilly. The ...

... irresponsible individuals to arrive. Needless to say, we didn't leave until an hour after our meeting time. Guess some people don't know what on time means and what responsibility actually entails.

It's ok because when we got there we pretty much divided our group and I was able to enjoy the actual tree top adventures! Got strapped in our harnesses, attended a brief introduction training guide and set off on our own. Actually there were so many rules and safety regulations ...

Today Lloyd and I went rock climbing. It was quite fun though the first time I went up to near the top and looked down I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. We spent quite a long time there as Joe (friend of Lloyd's) drove us and is a keen climber. To be honest after the first couple of hours I felt so tired (probably as a result of the ...

As it seemed a shame to be so close to New York and not visit again I headed over there. It is almost a two hour train journey (here, close is relative), mainly because the train services aren't that good. I got caught in the rain on the way to the station. Here rain seems to be very heavy and appear in a flash but also gone in half an hour. Unfortunately that is exactly how long it takes to walk to the station. I was able to dry off on ...

    On Campus

Today was pretty lovely. Lloyd had to go to a couple of lectures and do some teaching so I just hung around campus. I sat in the dappled sunshine beneath the trees and read 'American Gods' and watched 'North and South' on my phone. Blissful.

Go in the evening which was pretty fun. I got soundly thrashed by Lloyd with five stones but beat someone else in an even game (she was around 6k). Everyone was really nice and I even met someone who played go and was an arts student (English).
