... was just setting down now in front of us and was at eye line, so was the best time to take a break. Arriving approx 5pm, had no problems getting a room and unloaded our luggage. Immediately the chauffeur had a well earned drink. Had to get out the essential provisions out first, for a chill out cocktail and peroni to settle us in. Followed shortly after with a welcome soak to contemplate and laugh at the new wonderful family memories made. After changing to go for ...

In Carthage, Missouri we visited a beautiful historic courthouse with an antique cage elevator that still works. We "shot" the Sheriff and his two deputies.......so we got out of Missouri in a hurry. Route ...

We left Springfield and on the way, stopped and took a photo of Abe Lincoln's house. We also took shots of Shea's garage which is a bit famous for the metal plaques and old petrol pumps outside - unfortunately, it was closed at the time.

We had a bit of bother actually trying to find Route 66 and ended up back at our starting point, past Lincoln's house. You need to keep your eyes open at the sides of the roads, overhead passes and in front, so we had ...
