... and would you believe it we can now hear each other talk!), the wipers fixed, the air in-take hose done, and the veggie system up and running! Love, love, love running on the veggie oil. It feels soooo good to be able to travel all over town without hurting the environment! The family's been doing their job in preparing us for the trip. I think we have learned 5 new games! We've been playing a new game everynight and Dad re-taught us Crib last ...
Atwater, California, United States cmedancing... of cars parked at the curb of all dirt roads, shuttle trucks, scouts, volunteers, horsemen with horses and horses without horsemen, scouts again and again here and there. Still we managed to navigate successfully away or, rather, Orestimba's vast bulk absorbed and swallowed all the human mass and let us walk freely and unmolested. That was really good.
Orestimba Wilderness, California, United States fram-o... noon. The hike was not that hard but the rollercoaster of the Willow Ridge with its vertical ups and downs wore Mishka off a bit and we were glad to see the lake on the sixth hour into the hike. That was not it though - we had to circle its fjords and bays for another half an hour before we found a good nice spot on the hill overlooking the lake. The sunset was maginificent of course but the wind was blowing cold and was not long ...
Henry W Coe Park, California, United States fram-o... me up. I was sitting at the SFO airport for another 3 hours wondering wat worse can happen. Finally, I called the pickup guy and asked him where he was and he said he was in the airport. It was obvious that we had never seen each other before because of which there was a time more frustrating and exhausting to me when I was standing next to him and looking for him, wondering where this guy could be and he on the ...
Atwater, California, United States vihangbluered... used keeping the small image of a lock on the console blinking all night? The console has a cool function that keeps track of even the most minute amount of electricity used, amazing huh? The only negative aspect of my wireless, is that it is slower than a high-speed DSL and last night before I crashed, I wanted to check some news and maybe see some clips from my favorite shows on television. to do this is impractical and I opted to read my novel instead. I ...
Cressey, California, United States stevevallWhen figuring out the places to go on this trip, we knew in the back of our minds that Rachel's childhood friend Darla would be getting married some time in December. As Costa Rica was our only planned destination in the month of December, we figured we could most likely work something out. Looking back at the whole affair now makes me laugh a bit. That, in the middle of a 4 1/2 month crazy ...
San Jose, California, United States rachstagnaro... shots of the A's game, and of Chinatown. While we were in Chinatown we went to a fortune cookie factory...that wasn't really a factory as we all know it. It was very small but yet they cracked out a lot of fortune cookies and the cookies that they didn't get to fold up they left flat and gave us handfuls and handfuls.
From South Carolina (Goose Creek) 2, South Carolina, United States travxray_pa... behaved passenger though and tried very hard not to make comments on Jason's driving! His recollection may differ. We had a lovely few days as drove up the coast on highway 1 from LA to San Francisco. It is an amazing coastline and we were lucky enough to have great weather making it even more spectacular. We stayed in San Luis Obispo the first night then hiked in Montana De Oro state park the following day. I think this was one of my favourite days, we did a nice ...
California, United States katie-jason... about 20 minutes later and it was already packed solid. Anyone who's been to at least the North Shore of Tahoe knows Lanza's. And it's the namesake of the lovely Vanessa, so I took pix for you girl. Long story short, there was a fatal accident when we were just about 12 miles from the house and so being on twisting mountain roads, backtracking can take a bit of time. So we got to the house around 9pm last night and pretty much crashed shortly thereafter. At first I was a bit annoyed ...
Los Gatos, California, United States tracygosnow... t beat that. Finally, I'd rather die living passionately and sacrificially. If I die, I would hope that people wouldn't say, "What a waste. She was so young. If only she'd made wiser decisions." I would hope they would say, "Jessamy died living life to the fullest. She was doing what she loved and died for what she believed in." What could be better than that? This is what I believe in. I believe in considering others above myself, I believe in justice and mercy in ...
