    ... we are still at the right track. To avoid getting lost somewhere in the Appalachian, we have to make a tough decision: back the way we came - passing the wasp spot! (yes, the forest was indeed so dense there that we couldn't just walk around and outside the path).

    ... that day - but it doesn't matter. We sit at the porch of the Cafe and enjoy a tea and some quiet time.

    Lots of wild life around us: bunnies, deer, fawn, fire flies, snakes,...
    The kids served us boiled eggs, coffee, and tea in the morning.

    So, the blogging may become more sparse, but we want to keep posting pictures and some rather quick notes, and spend more time enjoying ourselves. Hahahah.

    Hours given back, almost home

    Now that we have given back the three hours that we gained in the long journey across this great nation, we realize two things. First, just how far it is from one coast to the other. And second, just how good it is going to feel being home again.

    This trip wound up taking just three and a half weeks. With an original plan of up to two months, it seems on paper, or on the computer actually, and in our minds..........to have taken a very long time ...

    Wednesday April 16, One more zero day at Hemlock Hollow Inn. I was going to head out this morning, but the leg is still a little tender. Not too tender, but I am thinking it is better to allow my leg to fully recover - because it keeps costing me zero days! Tomorrow hopefully will be the beginning of long mile days, and some great night hikes! As for today, playing with the hostels dogs, and doing some light helping around the place. Really hate the fact that I have no phone ...
