... Series was won!We jumped onto the Big Bus and toured round to South Street ...where all the hippies have gone ...for Philly steak and a beer for Rick. Lunch was shaken down by a stroll alongside the Delaware river with its boats and entertainments including a huge monument to Christopher Columbus who is felt to be a multi-talented hero. The pedalos on the river were a surprise and we immediately thought of you Mr. Hayward! We needed a sit down ...

The limo driver arrives early and I'm still scrambling to get all of the equipment packed, but we manage to depart at their recommended time of 2:00 pm for a 6:50 pm flight out of JFK. I say sleep, but really, who can sleep like that? I think Elijah got the most ...

Our trip to the airport reminded me to mention a little about Italian drivers. I'm sure that many are good, polite drivers but we've observed that some take too many risks. For example, zipping down a narrow country road using the palm of one hand to drive while texting. Another example was this morning when our cab driver stopped for a red light and exasperated the driver behind who honked and pulled in front of him. We saw very few law enforcement officers on the ...

... for. And my phone was dead by this point. I felt so disconnected and helpless. But thankfully I managed to borrow someone else's charging cord so that I could juice up my phone a little and make sure I had a ride if and when I ever made it back to Seattle.

  • After what seemed like eternity, and many "we should be boarding soon" announcements, we finally got on the plane. But I'd been through this before only to be jerked around again and again. So I couldn't let myself ...
