Today we drove to Crater Lake National Park which was about an hour drive north of Klamath Falls.
The drive was very picturesque with lots of rocky outcrops and pine trees lining the roads. Once in the National Park there were plenty of view points. We had the freedom of the car so we were able to stop a few times to enjoy some deep cut outs …
... hell......and all unpaved. We got out of there and booked it to Grants Pass.....along the way we have decided that I should no longer choose our detours and we will no longer eat at shady diners in small towns! It was a ****** morning (no pun intended), a better afternoon, and a really eventful day. It made for good memories! We are now at the Super 8, the boys are sleeping and we are showered and ready for bed.....looking forward to the boat ride in the morning along with my champagne ...
... Rises - all black rubber portcullises and pointy black finials on the staircases.
Costumes: Glittery - the word "pageant" sprang to mind.
Richard had many afflictions:
A gammy leg (in calipers)
An extraordinary limp
A huge hump
A withered arm
A twisted hand
A terrible wig
A complete inability to pronounce English place names properly.
These were some of his afflictions.

We left Reno after a quick oil change and made great time all the way to Oregon. We met up with Brodie and traveled for a couple hours before finding a stop to camp at low altitude before our trip to Crater lake.
We have a beautiful spot, located right on the Rogue River. Amazingly it is in cell range - thus this quick update.
Off to cook hamburgers on the fire - cold beer in hand.
