    We got into Medford and saw everyone at the Vet, the University, and the conveniently located Panda Express that decided to open...after we moved away. Jerks.

    We stayed with Jen and June's house where we met June's mom and hung out for the night. We had a great visit with them but chose to hit the road a day early to make good time on the trip.

    It it was a very short visit with everyone but we were so happy that we could see them!

    ... order worked perfectly for photos - I was able to incorporate my mother into many of the photos to obtain relative scale. These trees are the tallest in the world; with heights over 300 feet at maturity.

    ... landing in Pacifica. It was surprisingly thrilling.

    As we continued on, the traffic got very heavy, and we found ourselves in stop-and-go rush hour traffic going into the city. On both sides of the road were homes on the hillsides…lots of homes…of every shape and color. And the density of the houses was so thick, it was impossible to see any space between them or any earth. I have never seen anything like this. I thought I was in China ...
