Tomorrow I am finally going to be able to experience lots of Florida rain. Anne made a great suggestion that since I am finishing around 2pm with BASE CCCF to get a few hours on the road in. I did and knocked off 200 miles of the trip scheduled for tomorrow at 400 miles. Now only 200 miles in the rain?? Total miles for today276 but 60 of it was …

          ... looked distinctly miserable.

We set off once more on Route 41, joining the Interstate highway I-75 after 100 miles or so, and 200 miles later turning onto highway number 19. Fortunately our route didn't take us via Nutbush.

We arrived at the hotel in Perry just before 8 pm, and enjoyed a meal at a nearby Mexican restaurant. It was certainly an authentic experience,as ...

After 3 days at the hot and sweaty Wanee festival, way down on the Suwannee river, the music of the Allman Brothers is alive and well. The band founded the festival here years ago. AB may not exist any more, following their farewell gigs in New York last November, but the band members are mostly here with their own bands, and still playing ...
