We started our last day in sunny San Diego with a walk to little Italy farmers markets where I got a green smoothie, don got a coffee and we bought or host Heather a bunch of sunflowers. The fruit and veg available was amazing! I don't think we have seen such big strawberries before! Some beautiful artwork and foods and all sorts of lovely market staples were there to see, taste and smell. It was a gorgeous morning! Once we packed up ...

... several grills dotted about the premises for diners to cook their preferred steak cuts as they so like. Quite a different concept. We went for a New York Strip and a Guiness and Garlic marinated cut. ... filling up on propane. The goal today was a visit to the Safari Park connected to San Diego Zoo. It encompasses over 200 acres and offers a variety of ways to view the animals from around the world. We chose the basic tram tour and were treated to herds of a variety of ungulates. The walking tour took us past cheetahs, lions, wart hogs, foxes, flamingos, gorillas and lots of hairless beach apes, which were almost as interesting to watch as the captive ...

    San Diego Rehabilitation Stop

... I’d like to do a hike. So, they took me to a hike out to a waterfall. It was a nice walk and showed me some interesting environmental characteristics of San Diego (I think I know where some of their ideas for aliens come from now).

After this, it was time to leave San Diego and head back to Boise where my American family was awaiting and were going to take me on an epic road trip! I was still getting over the flu but was feeling a lot better than I had a week ...
