Right after we passed mile marker 90 on I-65, heading south (to mile marker 0), traffice came to a dead stop. For the next hour, we crept bumper to bumper, for about 60 miles. At MM34, we got on a state hwy. to get gas, and got back on just before Louisville, and missed the roadblock by a few thousand feet. So that meant the backup was approximately 80 miles.

... still scenic, doesn't offer much variety as we travel through the various states. The rolling hills start to get steeper as we pass through Louisville, which makes for a nicer drive. I also cheated and took the beltway around Cincinnati rather than route 50 through the city. It was rush hour and would not have been good for my disposition.
The rivers are full and running brown from all of the run off. There is a flash flood watch for this area until tomorrow evening
Have been goiing through corn fields most of the afternoon. It is tall and tassled
