... no downtown strip to walk in so we might as well head back to the cabin. Passing by a grocery store, we couldn't resist a quick pit stop for more food (we were getting nervous our supplies wouldn't hold out until the next day).
We ended up back at the cabin and decided to spend the night enjoying our cabin, each other, and engaging in a fierce battle of Mexican Train Dominoes.
... On the 3rd attempt, the fire was ginormous!!
Then Matt and Esen had us cheering and hollering as they put on some cool dance routines for our entertainment - proving they inherited the dancing gene from their fathers.
We absolutely loved the freedom to make as much noise as we wanted and not have to worry about neighbors. So wonderful to have our own secluded space.
Day 3: Rose Creek Gem Mine, 4 buckets of dirt for $20

Day 2: Tubing with Gator Tubes at Deep Creek. $3/tube
Gator Tubes is one of the first rental places u see on the road to Deep Creek. Run by a retired probation officer, they charmed us with their warm Southern hospitality. Lifejackets for the 2 little ones were an extra $5 each. They tied the tubes on top of our van and off we went!
