Yet another instance of great friends starts my time at the lake. Upon hearing of my plans for this southern journey, Miss Heather Smith immediately rolled out that southern hospitality and invited me to stay at her family's lake house up at Lake Burton in Northeastern Georgia and enjoy some solitude. Thank you Heather! My few days here at Lake Burton, right up in the Chatahoochie National Forest, have been filled ...

When I checked it that night, it turned out to be way larger than I wanted (which was probably why it ...

... the majority of Lake Chatuge. There were huge RV's and mansions lining the banks of the lake all with private moorings and pontoons housing ski boats, jet ski's and fishing boats. The place was just unreal seeing all the holiday homes and its hard to understand how there can be so many Americans that just can just head off to their lake house for the weekend, or summer break.

    We hired ...
