... location, but instead, anywhere that I am surrounded by a loving support network. And, if I'm lucky, I might find that Córdoba is truly meant to be my home and I'll just stay there forever. Regardless of whatever meaning I do or don't find through this continual process of uprooting myself from several "homes" over the next year, I will always be grateful to a surprisingly wise friend who encouraged me, "Go. You know you can always come back." And so it ...

I'm going to miss Red Cliffs Lodge, yet again. It was our first stop a year ago and our last this time, and I always leave hoping I will get the chance to return someday. Stunning scenery and a ...

The weirdest feeling I had was my enthusiasm for school. Never in my life have I been excited to go to school and to have homework. I used to DREAD going to school. I was the girl in high school that would fake sick any change I could. But on my first day of class at DU I was so into it. Getting my first homework assignment gave me butterflies. It was only until ...

Tara and I left Denver Sunday morning anticipating a quick layover in San Fran, then on to that other hemisphere for another connection from Beijing to Bangkok. Original plan was about 24 hrs travel time, which costs us two whole days and a night because of that illusive international dateline. We checked the departure board for our next leg to Beijing upon arriving in SF because, after all, isn't that just what you ...
