        I left Oakland a little later then expected…so much stuff to pack in my little mini cooper and get my co-pilot Vannah comfortable for the looong ride! It was 102 driving through Vacaville. We did get some cool down relief in the Tahoe Mountains but the temps sored in the 100's after Reno. Luckily the mister/fan bottle I bought came in real handy for this HOT-DOG! Lol.

        ... The sun was just beginning to set, and we strolled around the campground until we saw the start of a trail leading up a small hill. We followed it to the top and sat for a awhile observing a stunningly vivid sunset over the volcanic landscape.         ... riding and traveling with us since May 24th. There is one other couple that fell in love on the trip. Not sure what their plans are. Will be riding Bart the Mustang into Virginia City.

        ... got me really pumped for the day. It is always nice to see the ride and why we are here. We helped a little at the water stop in Dayton, NV and then again at the Silver Spring's airport. It was a really flat ride today, so the first riders showed up at the airport for lunch around 10:30, about an hour before I was expecting them.
