Crossing the state line into Kansas did not improve the scenery; the only green spots were around the irrigation ditches or the fields being irrigated. The most notable change was the temperature. ... and we didn't stand out so much! We found a place called Applebees, which was a bit busier and boy are we glad we ate there, it had just what we wanted and best of all, no danger of being shot. We live to see another day.

Oh and by the way, we've figured out how to change the points on the map as we noticed it wasn't really showing the route we took each day. It should now show a more exact account of our travels- even the flight from England.
