Stopping for the night in Columbia Missouri after taking a picture of Beetle Bailey. I remember reading Beetle Bailey in the funny pages every day. We had a great day taking the back roads instead of I-70. Saw tons of barns and great houses along the ...

... hours. Of singing Annie songs, continuously. We settled into our hotel and dinner time and I took the girls swimming while Carrie went out and picked up some southern barbecue - yum! It was a long day but fun with lots of laughter and songs! I wish I had videoed Phoebe singing "Little Girls" she does a mean Ms. Hannagian. Also Claire has pretty much memorized the entire album and belts it out at the top of her lungs! ~Bethany Miles ...

... trail. There is a LC campsite and historical marker along the trail about 5 miles from Rocheport and it's only accessible by walking or biking. I rode my bike to the site but didn't stay long because as Lewis noted in his journal "the mosquitoes were most troublesome". I was still very glad to get some pedal time on this section of the Katy.
It was late when I returned to Rocheport and drove a few more miles to spend the night near Boonville MO.

I put the jacks down and marveled at how much more level we were than while in Sedalia. Plugged the surge protector in and waited for it to do it's thing. It finished and we plugged in the coach. POP, the surge protector went off. We went through the set up again with the same results. ...

4:30 PM - Crossed the Missouri River & into Missouri and through Kansas City where we hit some 'rush hour' traffic - but nothing too bad.

6:22 PM - Arrive Columbia, Missouri & check into La Quinta motel.

Just over 12 1/2 hours on the road but didn't seem too bad. Good weather, no road construction.

Dinner across the street at an Applebee's.
    Beautiful sunset in Missouri!
