After about a 3 1/2 hour drive from Springfield, I pulled into the small town of West Branch, Iowa. It sits along I-80, about 10 miles south of Iowa City, home of the Iowa Hawkeyes. This is one small town! I went to the Hoover Foundation and purchased our family membership for $50 bucks that will get me ( and Ann in Cal.) in all of the 13 National Archive funded Presidential Library and Museums through reciprocal ...

... stopping today but will in Hammond Indiana.

Today is another windmill day. Seem like there are more and more as we move along. Must say it does not make for a great view. We find it interesting that many are not running. The temperature is rising so we have to turn on the generator so we can run the rooftop AC. That's better. After lunch we run into increasing winds. Not quite like riding a bucking bronco, but close. Wind does play games with a motor ...

Yesterday, Mike turned 65. He is officially a Senior Citizen. It's hard to believe it was all those years ago, we were just a couple of kids, going to the dance at the Pine Grove Pavilion in Portsmouth. Now, here we are, closing in on the first major destination of our journey, Yellowstone National Park. Tomorrow we pull out and head towards Lincoln, Nebraska. ...
