Our destination is Amana Colonies in Amana, IA. This is an historic German town that we stopped briefly on our trip to Alaska in 2012. The town closes up at 5:00 pm so we decided to come back and stay a few nights to check it out. More tomorrow on our venture into town.

Yesterday, Mike turned 65. He is officially a Senior Citizen. On our way back to Amana, we came to some unscientific, but obvious conclusions. Nine out of ten vehicles we passed were pickup trucks. Two out of five roads we drove on were unpaved and dusty.
No matter where you look, there's a corn field.
