... and didn't move for almost 3 hours. During that time the kids went to a souvenir shop and the Holocaust museum. I am sad I missed out, especially on the museum, but I wouldn't have enjoyed it much with a headache anyways... I asked Mia to write a bit for the blog about both of those experiences. ... room with comfy seating. Then, a guy came to take our luggage for us. Onto the train now - we all got to sit together. Then a little boy sat with us and talked with us. The trip to DC has been amazing. I loved seeing the Lincoln Memorial. I also liked seeing the Spy Museum and acting like a secret undercover spy. I hope I get to go to Washington DC again sometime in my lifetime.

... down the coast .we went a few levels down to the signature bar on the 86th floor to have a cocktail but waited for 20 min after getting a table with no service and only 1 guy in the overpacked bar making drinks and the place full of St Patrick day Revellers, we decided to move on . Walked to the water tower shops just around the corner ,popped into the church were they filmed the wedding seen from My Best Friends wedding then not in the mood ...
Another early morning and we head out to see what we can see of the US Naval Academy. The answer? Not much. We took the wrong turn and turned into the base rather than the visitors' centre. For some reason, the guard said that our drivers licences were the wrong type of identification and asked us very nicely to turn around and leave the base...lol! So, we did what we were told. We visited a farm gate shop, specialising in soft pretzels - yummy, along with lots of preserves, jams, cooking as well as finished sewing articles.
Then on to another farm shop, this time specialising in quilts, quillows and other goodies. Margaret purchased an Amish cook book, so we can all look forward to some good old fashioned home ...
