There is also a rock and gem show going on. We met up with our friends from Indio, Rusty and Debbie, as well as old friends, Keith and Pam Clark, from our dive club days, my Aunt Tomie and Uncle Ed, from South Dakota and Roger and Sharon, a couple we ...

Out of Flagstaff, had a great ride through Yarnell, Quartsize and crossed the State line into California. Overcast ride and pleasantly cool with a fantastic sweeping ride down the mountains from Yarnell - where 19 firefighters lost their lives in last year's bushfires.

While here, we joined the FMCA 4-Wheelers club. They are wonderful and fun people with jeeps. We went on 5 different trails. The trails were rated 2.5 (no rock crawling), 3 (little rock crawling), 3.5 (lot of rock crawling), 4 (crazy rock crawling), 4.5 (insane rock crawling). We stayed on the 2.5 but one turned into a 3.....I had to get out of the jeep (yes I was a chicken) but Rusty did really well. One ...

... 30pm. We wandered over and caught two sets of those in attendance jamming, all playing old-time, mostly country music with mostly guitars-- it was very enjoyable. We were the youngest by far I'm sure. I knew the words to most of the songs -- those years in the legion and my mom's style of music. 'Tis warm here -- 88 degrees and tonight I would expect it is not much below 70 even at this time. ...

Prescott is a small, affluent, fairly new city, about which we knew nothing, so after breakfast we decided it was time to check it out. Apparently residents of Phoenix escape to Prescott at the weekends. We drove downtown and it was incredibly busy, it was very hard to find somewhere to park. Eventually we parked up and realized that they had a really big Art and Craft Fair in Courthouse Park. It was very cool, lots of southwestern art and stuff. Of ...
