... Neat new game. The campground has horseshoes, shuffle board and a game called holy holes. Has 3 holes in 2 wooden boxes and you stand on one and throw at the other using large metal flat washers. Walked around Helen and took a few nice pictures of the architecture, and got some penuche fudge at Hansel and Gretel candy shop.
Buzzed back and stopped to get some laundry soap in Waynesville. Chilling tonight and doing some laundry.
I love riding down here, but it is much more tiring than straight "highway humping"!

Hitting the 400 toll booth without dropping the quarters was the final touch to a wonderful trip.
And now, at 2:12 in the morning of 3 August, I'm tired and have remembered all I can.

I arose early and stepped out to the covered porch into a rocking chair... with our iPad. What a contrast.

... all the way to Dahlonega. Our second good omen for the trip was the fact that I hit the toll change basket without dropping either quarter. We were on our way.
We got to D just before noon and drove on out of town to locate the Cedar House Inn, a B&B. We had no difficulty finding it, but it was quite clear that the driveway would lead us off the beaten path. The gate was locked until 4, as we had been informed, so we made for our first winery and lunch.
