We've had some amazing shows in Ohio that have made me fall in love with this again. Most of this season has been really tough (weather, low attendance, protesters, not having our crew the first couple of weeks, etc.) and it's easy to get distracted by the negatives as they pile up on you. ... for children. They're trying to use shock value to get their point across but a) the points they're making have nothing to do with our show and b) once the parents look at the coloring books, they usually end up throwing them away.
Anyway, enough about them. :) It was a lovely day and we were all revitalized by the outpouring of support and happiness from every attendee. LOVE playing towns that love us!
... to catch up. It was nice having a friend out there when it got lonely.
It was also laundry day so there was no napping for us. We drove 15 minutes away to a laundromat that was open, but without an attendant or anyone else doing laundry. Score! We loaded up the washers and ran over to Marc’s for some groceries.

... and started trying to put a yard sign in the lawn. As we walked up to her, she smiled at us and asked if we were interested in buying a house. We laughed and said no, but we told her it shouldn't be hard to do since the house was so beautiful. She was struggling with the yard sign so Kyle offered to help her. Never let it be said that circus folk aren’t helpful!

Had some decent shows today though one man who was somehow misinformed about the cost of face painting made one of the intermissions not so fun (he claimed he was told it was free and we explained it’s never been free). But beyond that, it was another beautiful weather day so that trumps a grumpy guy. ...
