... the first passenger train to run these rails since 1962. Secondly, this run put a Nickel Plate train on one of the old main Nickel Plate Road lines. The NKP765 was one of a fleet of steam engines built for the Nickel Plate Road railroad--a railroad network that covered a very large part of the country until the mid-20th century. ... Ashtabula OH was good. We encountered some driving rain as we entered OH. It slowed me down from 70 to 50 due to the intensity. ... Toboggan Chute on Valley Way at Strongsville and from 6pm - 10pm toboggan'd myself silly. There are two man-made concrete chutes side by side 700 feet (about 200 metres) long and 70 feet (+20 meters) high - best speed I managed lying flat on my back was 45 mph (70 kph). I had a GREAT time and the staff were excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I also found out that there is a down-hill skiing facility at Alpine Valley on Mayfield Road (US322), Chester but did not get there.
