      ... decision before we even got to the dunes. The "flat" part of the hike was swallowing our feet with each step. We live in Florida and are used to walking on the beaches. This was similar but it seemed to be deeper and our feet sank to nearly ankle level with each step. Had we made a poor choice in picking this park?
