... yes, "puffy" is an aeronautical term!), and the coral reefs visible from up high are not to be believed. Touchdown at Fort Pierce, FL and arrival at Customs was spot-on at 12:40pm EDT despite Tower sending us on a 5 mile extended downwind leg (really?) We paddled dow Turkey Run Creek, which is a medium wide creek with overhanging branches and some trees in the water. I don't have pictures of this trip because I didn't have my camera or phone. We did see a huge, 10 ft. alligator on the bank of the creek. It got upset that people were looking and flopped in the ...

The beach was particularly interesting this morning. Make sure you click on the pictures to see the details.

Arrived at the beach before 6:00 this morning and it was still relatively dark....only a smidgen of sunlight but a lot of fog and humidity. Walking the beach, I spied over a dozen sea turtle tracks coming from the ocean and into the dunes it was easy to see the many new ...
