... a school program scheduled and a radio spot after that. The school was a lot of fun....it was K-4 (the perfect age group for his program) and John had up to 45 minutes with them, so he was able to work on some things that he and Ryan & Steve had discussed last weekend when we were with the show. He's so much more confident now than he was in the beginning...instead of hoping for ...

... girls who act like they're afraid of clowns VERY LOUDLY and a man in a store who couldn't wrap his head around John not being embarrassed about being a clown. Hah. The folks at the library were really nice and the gas at Casey's was the cheapest we've seen in awhile ($3.49/gal).

We took off around 11:30am for Carthage, IL and drove through cornfields for an hour...I definitely prefer that to the outskirts of Chicago!

I have also arranged via e-mail with the BMW Dealer in St Louis to fix my bike of Friday.

... the family almost every Sunday. I have lost respect for religion, as a whole, in may ways but I think there is place for religion in our lives. I try to respect all religions because there is a lot of good that can come from someone wanting to serve God with good intentions in mind. I have heard many times the stories of the Illinois Mormon settlement in Nauvoo so I thought this would be as good of ...

After leaving Nauvoo, we drove a little ways to Carthage, Illinois to tour Carthage Jail. Carthage Jail is where Joseph Smith, the LDS prophet, was martyred. It was sad to be in that same room. It was kind of cool though, because I had to be in a reenactment of the martyrdom of Joseph Smith a couple weeks later. It was a really interesting experience, besides the screaming babies that were in our tour.

After touring the jail, we got back in the car, and headed back to Chicago.
