      The Fifth Day (Denver)

A travel blog entry by isabellerose13 on Dec 23, 2013

We woke up this morning to find a blanket of snow over everything outside. So we had some breakfast and went outside in the snow, we even got to walk on the frozen river. Then we got ready to drive to Beaver Meadows Ranch. It was about an hours drive and we saw a lot of mountains along the way. We we got outside and it was FREEZING! We walked through the wind and snow to the place where we were going tubing. What you do to tube is grab ...

... that we passed through Denver specifically because it has a special place in Brian's heart. He performed with Coro Allegro at a GLBT choir gala last year that only happens once every four years. There are choruses from all over the country and believe me, it's a big deal. The final entry and reflection

... entry. I was hoping for some time to reflect and hopefully put into words what this trip was to me. I cant even describe how this trip has been a blessing, inspiration, and an overall life changer. I smile, laugh, cringe, and am proud of so many of the things that I was lucky enough to experience. I learned a ton about other cultures, and the people within those countries. I also learned so much about how the ...

      ... to come here!

Part of preparing for college wasn't just about narrowing down a list of choices. I also had to pack up my entire room! Although I didn't strip my room bare until the night before move in day, I started to divide my books and clothes into what was coming and what was staying. I had two ridiculously full and heavy boxes of boxes that I think are never coming off my floor. Also about half my closet went to the Goodwill. (I'm ...

      Roller Coaster Day

A travel blog entry by dyer0930 on Jan 24, 2012

In some ways, our huge day of travel home sucked about as bad as expected. In some ways it was far worse. And in some ways it went surprisingly well. The overview here is that we flew Istanbul-Frankfurt-Washington Dulles-Los Angeles... all on the same day. that's a 2+ hr flight, followed by a 9 hr flight, followed by a 5 hr flight. Just so you have the big picture in your mind.

The Lufthansa flight from Istanbul to Frankfurt leaves at 5am, and ...
