... made good time through Chattanooga, which is one of the reasons we left so early. Surprisingly, Knoxville wasn't bad either. We even stopped so the girls could enjoy a sit down breakfast while Dave took care of a last minute conference call for work. Now, it should be smooth sailing right up until we hit rush hour in DC. Ugh. Already dreading it...

And now - we sleep, or at least try to. After 15 months of planning, the trip is now 7 hours away. I've checked on the passports about 9 times in the past hour. There's nothing left to check off the to-do list, nothing more to pack, nothing else to plan or research. Here's hoping it all goes off the way we imagined it!
... 24 hours. From Hughie letting dad take over his workshop to fix the car, the super friendly cab driver who booked me a haircut on the way to the salon and the parts suppliers who have hand delivered products or driven to another store to pick it up and bring it back to us. We have certainly been experiencing the Southern Hospitality the area is famous for. It's now time to get some rest before continuing on to Memphis, ...
The start of our trip.
Departure from Huntsville toward Chicago. Got an all day lay over in Chicago because there is only one flght to Chicago from Huntsville.
All went well other than the American Airlines agent had to physically complete the baggage connection between Paris and Malta. This meant that he had to hand write the ultimate destination. I don' think he has ever heard of Malta.

... had an evening out with just Adrian and I. Kym was wonderful and took on Indy with the three boys however Indy gave her a nasty surprise when she had a coughing fit as she was been put down to sleep and vomited all over her back. Yikes!
So although there wasn't really too much to report in this entry it was a fabulous stop on our round the world adventure. We got to smother our three nephews in kisses and hugs and hang out with Kymmy and Paul. We definitely needed ...
