... stuff to the new trailer. The old trailer had so much more storage, so it was a dilemma. Thursday morning the final touches were made to the custom hitch to carry our bikes and we left around noon. We drove to the first big parking lot and both of us just sat in the car. What had we done? Did we know how to work this new beast? Where were we headed? After an hour or so we put on our big girl panties and headed to New York!

... few days. There is a "wet weather wash-out on the Outer Banks", a flood advisory in Maine and a "tightening up of the gradients" happening all across the country. What does this mean for us? Hopefully the heavy rain of the last 36 hours will end by morning and give me 2 days of fine weather for my Photography Tour. I can at least hope.

... They were built over corn stalks with round heads and hats. We saw all sorts of costumes including roaring 20’, the sixties, the 70s, etc., and outfits from different walks of life. A spokesperson for the village said, the kookier and brighter the outfit, the better. Villagers put these “leaf people” out at the autumn equinox and they attract visitors to the village.
... the beautiful rolling green hills of Vermont, all densely covered with Sugar Maple, Beech and Yellow Birch trees. It was great to be surrounded by such beautiful natural scenery again.
Everywhere we looked were shades of green. Olive, apple, emerald, shamrock, avocado, mint, army, bottle... and even just plain normal green. Even the number plates are green. No wonder it's known ...
