I had planned to cross at St Stephen so I could pass by the chocolate factory, but the road actually goes directly to the new crossing and I did not realize I had to take the exit.

Highway 9 was open and clear. The view of the wild blueberry fields in the fall is quite beautiful as all the plants turn bright red.

I drove almost 1,000 Km's today and when I stopped, the ground kept moving.

I had a nice supper of salmon, broccoli ...

Interior Thinking? Yes Please.

It took me only three days to finish Amy Poehler's audio book "Yes Please," (it would have taken me less time but I had stuff to do, what do you want?). ... some great buys from a shop that had a 'buy 1 get 2' items free. Crazy! Bizarrely I was over it before Fray so we headed for the car about 4.15pm! Nearly 6 hours of shopping! Fray! Got out of the car park ok. Got on the thruway ok. No way of doing ...

... after sunset, hence the title of this entry. We had to walk over the river and it was a steep, high overpass with a pedestrian path beside the road. Unfortunately all the lights at the top of the overpass were broken so it was only passing cars that lit the way. We passed 4 men, one was drinking beer, but we just put our heads down and power walked across. Probably took about 30 minutes but this river front ain't no Southbank. There was no one around but I just kept telling Fray ...

Glimpse of FDR and Eleanor in Hyde Park

... couldn't tell which room was Eleanor's and which was that of the manservant by the time I walked up and down the corridor fighting my way to the doorways to take photos. Now I can only identify two of the rooms (I hope).

There were other parts of the FDR historical site to visit, like Val-Kill, Eleanor's retreat cottage, but we ran out of time so headed off for our hotel with the possibility of walking on the bridge over the Hudson if we had time.
