While we were talking at the Maple stand, the guy next to us said immediately, "Are you from New Zealand?". Which was unusual as 99% of the people ask Australia or England.
He takes us over to his wife who is from Napier! Finally found a New Zealander here.

If you REALLY know how to pick 'em, you may even find a person that will help you strategize which 3 limbs serve the least functional purpose, help you sever them and then cauterize the gaping wounds and major arteries. Then you can go on your merry way fleeing the country, debt free, and able to say you literally paid an "arm and a leg" for your education.

What a great start! On reflection we are a bit tired but it's been more than worth it. After our first three days in the states it is fair to say we are all a bit pooped out.
