    Setting off from Rhode Island back into Massa, I said to Paulie, "I've got a strange feeling that we’re going to see something unexpected today" and we both hoped it would be something good!

    On our way to our Airbnb, located in a small 'middle of nowhere’ place called Lakeville, we stopped off for a coffee and low and behold there was our unexpected sight of the day.

    ... see the water plumes of whales not far off the beach. Difficult to actually see the whales even through the telescopes at the visitors centre. Provincetown has been the highlight of our time in Cape Cod, quite old but with new life from the gay community and bohemian themes, and another great place to scoff lobster!

    After that tour, we were going to drive at least half way to Cape Cod, but we discovered that Shanksville, PA was not far from our route, so we all stopped to see the Flight 93 crash site. We arrived to a hubbub of activity, television trucks and camera crews and lots of people all in attendance to launch, in anticipation of the 14th anniversary of 9-11, the new Visitors Center at the Flight ...
