          We will leave for my hometown of Charles City later this morning. So it is time to bring this blog to an end. It has been a long but interesting trip and I know that I will enjoy looking back on our experiences through the pictures and notes that I have taken. I was glad to have you along!           ... a tractor pull contest, and demonstrations of corn and grain harvesting using some of the antique machines. It is amazing to watch a 100 year old steam tractor driving a corn husking machine with lots of young volunteers pitch forking and raking!
          I even got to drive a steam powered tractor around the ground (under careful supervision of the owner!). What fun!
