After a nice walk around the park and down through the peach groves and a leisurely cup of coffee this morning we begin our planning session. If we move about 45 minutes north of here it will make our trip intoYosemite National Park a little easier. ... for the night practice where my team mate coaches jiu jitsu. This was a pretty cool experience. I was going to participate in the practice, but I didn't really feel comfortable. Jiu Jitsu involves men laying between your legs at times and I this was a bit strange to me. I was very intrigued at how there are so many different fighting disciplines and how they have all evolved.
... of the warmer temperatures and heavy load. It is surprising how much extra gear you have to take to complete a trip like this. Because I was at 17,000 feet I was on oxygen the entire flight. Oxygen is required above 12,500 feet for more then 30 minutes. It is not all that comfortable breathing through a cannula for hours on end but you get used to it.
