    ... fail occasionally. We did a drive by the next morning and it does look awesome so worth a visit on the weekend (next time).
    Our next plan was to drive 4 hours north to a Giant redwood forest north of San Francisco but thanks to Google, we found out about Big Basin Redwoods State Park only 50min drive away from Santa Cruz!!
