We survived the send off party last night with family and flying friends. No permanent damage was done despite all the adult beverage and we got some good travel hints for Canada and Alaska. A big Thanks to Helen and Bill for hosting and conjuring up this beautiful dinner. Also a huge thanks to our good friends Lynn and Mick and Veronica and ...

... going eventually, possibly with the help of some lighter fluid. And we made s'mores!! Although the marshmallows were ridiculously large we got by and they were amazing as usual. We all sat around for a while before hitting the hay. Unfortunately during the night the rain had started up quite heavily. So at about 3 am I woke up to find that our tent had started flooding. All my bags were soaked and moving on my sleeping mat gave ...

... before it's too dark to see them. With the shade tents set up with balloons, streamers, lollies and chips, we had a mini party for Miss 11th Birthday. These cupcakes were yummy...for the traditional processed, preservative packed store bought cakes.

One by one adults and kids disappeared into the night till there were only a handful of us left sitting around the fire. Where did everybody go? They were over at the beach vollyball court ...
