    Hey, y'all,

I'm talkin' hot, hot, hot here in Vernon, Texas. A cool 101 degrees but thankfully a good breeze.

We had a great breakfast with Brenda, Stan, and Brenda's Aunt and Uncle at Denny's this morning. Then packed up the coaches and got on the road around 10:30.

Famous residents have included Bill Evans, awarded both the Bronze ...

We stayed at a Quality Inn, where we have stayed before (I say this with confidence because we picked up the Wifi without entering the password). We checked in around 5:45, I had 2 gin and tonics, and then went out to Maxey's, ...

Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park

A travel blog entry by the_heasley on May 27, 2014

Yup we're back at the Cotton Gin RV park. It makes a nice place to stay for the night. Today was the most comfortable travel through Texas we've ever had at this time of year. Cloudy and the high temp was 75. We didn't even need AC today. Now we are sitting in Goodlett TX with the windows open watching a few gray clouds move around. Tomorrow the plan is to head for the Capulin Volcano National ...
