          ... a contrast this place was compared to that first hostel I stayed in, just five minutes walk up the road. Everyone here was so friendly, everyone just spoke to everybody else, and everyone was there just to have a great time, have some fun and meet new people. We all just sat on a big table outside, where anyone and everyone were welcome to join in our antics. This is exactly what it was supposed to be like; just nights of laughter, good conversation, silliness and new friendships. ...

          ... Sedan - Stuart) in a country where it seems noone speeds at all, so you spend all your time looking at the speedometer rather than the road (!!!), and it's difficult to even try and overtake anyone because everyone is basically at the speed limit.

          ... and that happened within two minutes of being in the water. Freya was a real jock so I think we know whose to blame for this....great experience all the same and most importantly, I didn't die. Had a few chill out days in the hammock by the pool and by the beach. The hostel was full of people who we're working there for free accommodation.           We arrived in Byron Bay after an overnight bus journey from Sydney. Thankfully we got two seats each and got to spread out. I slept for a lot of this journey which was nice as after so many bad buses and journeys I wasn't looking forward to this one! I'd heard about this town as a really hippy area, chilled out, slow paced and relaxed. They weren't wrong.
