... so Jon had to battle quite hard to keep the van on the straight and narrow. On our way we visited the Moeraki Boulders on Koekohe Beach. Harder balls of rock were surrounded by softer sedimentary rock, so that got eroded away and the harder rock didn't, leaving these boulders. We had a stroll along the beach and a look at the rocks, and then a milkshake in the cafe where we watched gulls make short work of someone else's lunch (they had finished with ...

... and headed off to Lenarch Castle narrowly missing a parking inspector. The drive to Lenarch was short but beautiful up on the Otago Peninsula so you could see the sea but you also had beautiful green farmland. The Castle gardens were amazing beautiful forest's, flowers, green grass, hedges and beach lookouts. The castle was also pretty amazing we got to climb all the way to the top of the turret. After we toured the castle we had lunch in the ...

... we saw the Hakka performed from behind as we were on the other side of the stadium but it didn't matter, we got the full effect of the atmosphere. Apparently they did their special Hakka that they invented and they only use it for big matches or matches where it's a real competition. The crowd went wild for it. Then the game began. England were strong and pocketed a few good points very quickly, it was 13-0 for quite some time and by half time the All Blacks had scrambled up to 6. ...
