          Continental breakfast for all the vets and spouses, etc. Sitting with Vince's adopted Navy friends of 40 plus years. I am sitting next to a WWII vet who was in Pearl Harbor on December 7th. He was 18 years old and served on one of the USS New Orleans, which was in the naval yard at the time and the ship was hit with lots of shrapnel which was scraped after the war. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor and he is the last on from Kentucky.

          Made it to the lodge this afternoon. Now we have all been summoned to the main building because of a tornado watch that may quickly develop into a warning, at which time we will all be moved to the basement shelter.           Am I nervous? Yes, but not too much. The only thing I am really worried about is navigating a large city in a foreign language, especially since my Spanglish skills are not the best.

          I am hoping for a wide, new adventure. Seeing new sites, a new country and making new friends. Hopefully I will be able to update from the road . . .

          ... I believe he was in his early 30's and loving life in the south, same pay scale as CA. I also met a UA member (pipe fitter), in the store, who was from Bakersfield, he had nothing good to say about Tennessee.

          Our home, for the next 4 nights, is Cedars of Lebanon State Park, about 31 miles east of Nashville. Here we have water and electric hook ups but no sewer or WI FI.
