    ... telling us that the drive was boring and flat but Jordan and I have to disagree. It was amazing! Definitely a beautiful place to be.     Here's some things that made our trip easier:

    Invaluable:

    Solar panels, large inverter and battery capacity all combined to make us self-sufficient and allowed us to boondock (no hookups) so we only went to a campground every five days or so.

    TomTom GPS - this was one of the most valuable tools of our trip. It guided us from beginning to end and never let us down.

    Kansas is as you imagine, a place surrounded by plains. The classic Wizard of Oz houses and fields. You can imagine tornados popping up here all the time. We stayed in another Walmart car park here for the 1st night and a motel 6 for the 2nd.
