Yikes. Began driving at 4AM this morning, from DeMoines Iowa. Then Illinois then Indiana and because traffic was backed up for hours around Chicago we took a 100 mile detour into Michigan and stuck our toes in Lake Michigan. Then Ohio. Nay the navigator went to sleep at 9. That accounts for my promptly going going the wrong way, towards Lima instead of Columbus. Another 100 mile detour before I stumbled across an actual detour. Our guests have taken flight. They are leaving from Pittsburgh to JFK, JFK to FRA. The flight was delayed in New York, but they made up time in the air and are scheduled to arrive on time. Brian and I will be there in spirit, tracking them on Flight ...

Home held us for three weeks to the
day! Somehow we packed more into those three weeks than I ever
thought possible. Friends, family dinners, church, our doctor visits,
the dogs check-up with their vet, a peewee football game (future
stars and cheerleaders who will hold the field for the next eight
years), the same at the girls volleyball game, a memorial service, a
... year. See what you think, if you appreciate the risks she is
living, let her know you are following her.
We will not be at rest long. November will
again find us back on the beaches of South Carolina where we will put
together a new plan for the coming year.
